Kwanzaa, founded in 1966 by Dr. Maulana Karenga, is a vibrant, non-religious celebration that honors African American culture, history, and heritage. Observed globally from December 26 to January 1, Kwanzaa emphasizes the values of family, community, and culture.
Each night during Kwanzaa, a candle is lit to reflect one of the Nguzo Saba, or the Seven Principles: Unity (Umoja), Self-Determination (Kujichagulia), Collective Work and Responsibility (Ujima), Cooperative Economics (Ujamaa), Purpose (Nia), Creativity (Kuumba), and Faith (Imani). The celebration culminates in a joyous feast, libation pouring to honor ancestors, and thoughtful gift-giving.
As a premier purveyor of high-quality, hand-carved African arts and crafts since 2019, we are deeply committed to honoring and preserving African culture and heritage that each of our unique products embodies. Our mission is to help people around the globe celebrate Kwanzaa, embrace new traditions, and connect deeply with African culture.
Each of our Kwanzaa products is proudly made in the USA, thoughtfully sourced, and designed to inspire identity, purpose, and direction across all cultures, ethnicities, and backgrounds. We aim to foster a collective community that respects and uplifts everyone through the meditation and study of African history, traditions, and the Nguzo Saba—the seven principles of Kwanzaa.

By taking the time to appreciate and celebrate this rich heritage, individuals foster a deeper sense of community and respect for all. We also aim to raise awareness about the realities of post-traumatic slave syndrome and inspire research dedicated to developing culturally appropriate services and programs to support the mental health of African American families.
Join the movement to make December 26 an official Kwanzaa holiday by signing and sharing our petition. Together, we can celebrate our culture and strengthen our community.
